Life?
Twin Ports Life has been around since 2006. It’s gone through many
changes over these years and quite frankly, the site is much bigger than I can
handle but I do things in manageable “chunks”; which actually is liked and
favored by the “robots” and “spiders” on the web.
How I build traffic,
both online and offline for you and your business.
This brings me to how I build traffic for my sites and how
I will do this for you.
Twin Ports Life has several pages which promote different
business type categories.
I will give you a FREE LISTING for your business on the page of
your category. If you have an auto repair shop for instance, your business name
and phone number is listed. That’s it; no more. If a viewer is interested in
what you offer, they will call you.
Next, your business name listing will be linked to a “dedicated blog
post” that not only tells your story (you provide this and we “copy and
paste” but reserve the right to edit). But here’s what’s “key”: Your name,
business type, city and state will be the “title” of the blog so this article
will be found by the robots and spiders which will rank you higher in the web
searches for people who are looking for what you offer! See example of dedicated blog post here.
Your “dedicated blog post” is all about you and your
business. This is your story in 500 words or less which includes your contact
information (minus your phone and email address to avoid spam by the spiders
and robots. If you don’t know what that means, it’s OK; I do). You’ll have a
FREE LINK which directs these people to your website.
HINT: I once contacted
a business owner and told him that I could not find his business on the web. He
about tore my head off over the phone because he said, “I just put my business
name into the search engine and there I am; number 1!” He didn’t give me a
chance to explain his ignorance. Certainly if you put your business name into a
search engine, it better be at the top of the search rank; duh!
I’ll share a story. In a town let’s
say that there is a garage named Ken’s Auto Repair. Sure, if you knew that Ken’s
Auto Repair existed and your car broke down you would enter “Ken’s Auto Repair”
into your smart phone to get the number. But let’s say that you are like 99% of
those using smartphones (or search the Internet from desk or laptops) and you
don’t know that “Ken’s Auto Repair” exists. They need a tow or a tire change.
They enter “Towing, Duluth MN” and guess what? If your business is not toward
the top of the search, they will call someplace else!
Let me share just one more thought
about Search Engine ranking. You can pay to get to the top of the listings
(those are the ads you see first) on the search page. Here’s another “guess
what” for you. Google likes (really favors) businesses who get to the top
without paying; these are called “organic” listings. This is exactly (did you
read that?); exactly what we do with our system. You have your business name
listed at Twin Ports Life; it’s linked to your “dedicated blog post” which then
is linked to your website. That’s 3 ways the robots and spiders can find you
and your business to place it higher on the search rankings. Plus, every blog
post, is “like a mini website” and is “highly favored” by search engines.
What might be “bad”
about having a free business listing and dedicated blog post? The only thing
that might be a disadvantage is that your customers, prospects and viewers to
your listing and dedicated blog post can and will leave comments on the blog
stating how well (or poorly) they were treated by you and your business. So, if
you are a reputable business, you have only everything to gain!!!
So if this is all “Free”
for me and my business, how do you make money?
That’s a great question. I sell other ads on the site and
the blog. I also sell related business products and services on the site and
blog. You may want to be listed in other (related) category pages or have additional
“dedicated” blog posts, and there may be a few other ways I’m making money that
I’m not thinking of just now; but be sure of this, I know what I’m doing and I
know how to help you and your business.
